We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality physical education and sports sessions for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at our secondary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about promoting physical activity, inclusion, and positive behaviour in young people.
PE Teaching Assistant Role:
* Support the PE teacher in planning and delivering inclusive physical education lessons* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and physical disabilities* Encourage student participation and help manage behaviour positively and consistently* Assist with setting up and organising sports equipment and lesson resources* Promote health, well-being, teamwork, and resilience through physical activity
PE Teaching Assistant Requirements:
* Experience working with young people with SEN (school or youth/sports setting)* A background or strong interest in sport, coaching, PE, or physical activity* Ability to manage behaviour in a calm and positive manner* Team player with excellent communication skills* A valid enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one If you're interested in this PE Teaching Assistant role, please contact Alexandra Mayhew-Lewis at Veritas Education
