Job Title: QTS Geography Teacher Location: Rochdale, Greater Manchester Contract Type: Temporary Start Date: September 2025 (New Academic Year)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a dedicated and passionate team at a well-established secondary school in Rochdale for the new academic year, starting September 2025. The successful candidate will teach Geography across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, inspiring students to understand the physical and human aspects of the world, develop global awareness, and think critically about the challenges we face as a global community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Inspire students to develop a deep understanding of physical geography, human geography, and global issues.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students succeed and achieve their potential.
- Promote critical thinking, global awareness, and environmental sustainability within the classroom.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events related to Geography, including field trips and geography clubs.
- Participate in the school's wider community, supporting pastoral activities and contributing to a positive school culture.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Geography in a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for Geography and a commitment to fostering curiosity and environmental awareness in students
