Reception Class Teacher - Maternity Cover

Veritas Education is supporting a popular and inclusive school in Accrington to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Reception Class Teacher for a maternity cover starting in September 2025. This is a wonderful opportunity for a passionate EYFS teacher to join a supportive team in a vibrant school community.

The school is located close to the centre of Accrington and serves a diverse and welcoming community. It is a wonderful place to work, with friendly, hardworking children and a supportive staff team. The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about children, their education, and welfare-placing them at the centre of all decisions.
  • Preferably have experience teaching in Reception and a strong understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework.
  • Understand the vital role provision (indoor and outdoor) plays in enabling children to collaborate, solve problems, and develop independence.
  • Be a reflective learner who continuously seeks to improve practice.
  • Be a creative and excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations of all children.
  • Build excellent relationships with pupils, parents, and the wider community.
