Are you fluent in Mirpuri, Urdu, and Punjabi? Are you passionate about supporting students in their educational journey? We're seeking a dedicated Bilingual Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team, at a school based in the centre of Chorley.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in understanding lessons by providing translation and language support in Mirpuri, Urdu, and Punjabi.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group language instruction as needed.
  • Help students with assignments, projects, and classroom activities, ensuring comprehension and participation.
  • Support classroom management and behaviour reinforcement in a multicultural setting.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members in English, Mirpuri, Urdu, and Punjabi.
  • Requirements:

  • Fluency in Mirpuri, Urdu, and Punjabi is essential.
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the classroom environment.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in education or language instruction are a plus.
