Complex Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN Schools) ???? Locations: Bradford & Kirklees ???? Full-time / Part-time opportunities available
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with experience supporting children with additional needs? We are currently recruiting Complex Needs Teaching Assistants to work across a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools in the Bradford and Kirklees areas.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.
The Role
You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties
- Physical disabilities
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support
- Assisting with personal care where required
- Promoting independence, communication, and engagement
- Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
- Working closely with teaching staff and therapists to deliver individualised learning plans
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (essential)
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach
- Confidence supporting with personal care
- Moving and handling training (highly desirable)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are advantageous but not essential
