Veritas Education is currently working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Pontefract to recruit a committed and engaging Religious Studies Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher to join a supportive humanities department and make a real impact on students' understanding of worldviews, ethics, and philosophy.
The Role:
- Deliver high-quality Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Promote critical thinking, tolerance, and respect through engaging teaching
- Plan and assess in line with the national curriculum and school policies
- Contribute to the wider school ethos and enrichment opportunities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Religious Studies in a UK secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inclusive education
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
