Location: Leeds Contract Type: Full-time Salary: £90-£110 Start Date: ASAP or October half term
Are you passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful impact in a child's life?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Professional to work one-to-one with a child who is currently expressing challenging behaviour. This role is vital in helping the child access learning, build trust, and develop positive coping strategies within a nurturing and structured environment.
???? About the Role:
- Provide consistent, tailored support to a child with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals to implement individualised strategies.
- Use de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed approaches to support emotional regulation.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging learning space.
- Track progress and contribute to reviews and planning meetings.
???? We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children with SEN, particularly SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.
- Is patient, resilient, and empathetic.
- Can build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff.
- Is confident using behaviour support strategies and willing to learn new approaches.
- Holds relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential).
