Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary (4-Form Entry)
Location: Romford, Havering Salary: £85 - £120 per day (depending on experience) Job Type: Full-time / Long-term Start Date: ASAP or after October half term
Join a thriving 4-form entry mainstream primary school in Romford as a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant.
We're working with a well-respected, inclusive primary school in Romford looking for an experienced or aspiring SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs across Early Years and Key Stages 1 & 2.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a large, supportive staff team in a school that puts children at the heart of everything they do.
About the Role:
- Working 1:1 or in small groups to support children with EHCPs, including needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language delays, or SEMH
- Supporting access to learning both in and out of the classroom
- Assisting class teachers in adapting lessons and promoting inclusive practice
- Working closely with the school's experienced SENCO and wider pastoral team
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND (school, care, or youth setting)
- A calm, patient and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Confident working with a range of needs, including communication and behaviour
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
