Year 5 TEACHING ASSISTANT - CARLISLE
A primary school in Carlisle is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in their Year 5 class.
This is a one to one role, supporting a pupil with an EHCP (physical needs)
The position is full time, working 5 days a week, 8.30am until 3.15pm, Monday to Friday and will continue until the end of the academic year.
Duties will include:
- Preparing activities and lessons
- Delivering engaging sessions, one to one
- Supervising and providing particular support and encouragement for the pupil
- Ensuring pupils safety and access to learning activities
- Supporting pupils with specialist needs and implementing IEPs
- Phonics
Teaching Assistant Key Information:
- Carlisle area
- 5 days per week
- £13.50 per hour
- To start from ASAP
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of Teaching Assistant level 2 qualification
- Experience and knowledge of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Adaptable and flexible to support the class teacher and to suit needs of pupils.
- Available full time for the duration of the assignment
