SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: LS9, Leeds Full-Time | Long-Term
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs?
We are an education recruitment agency looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a busy inner-city primary school in the LS9 area of Leeds.
You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop their confidence and feel settled and supported throughout the school day.
The role will involve:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group SEN support
- Supporting pupils with additional learning, communication and emotional needs
- Helping children remain engaged and focused in the classroom
- Supporting positive behaviour and encouraging independence
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEN team
- Building positive and consistent relationships with pupils
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting children, ideally within a primary or SEN setting
- Is patient, resilient and confident when faced with challenging situations
- Has a calm and nurturing approach
- Can build strong relationships with children
- Is reliable and committed to a full-time, long-term position
- Is enthusiastic about making a genuine difference to children's education
