SEN Support Assistant
Primary School SEN Provision | 1:1 Support | Full-Time, Long-Term
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference?
We are looking for experienced SEN Support Assistants to work within dedicated SEN provisions based on-site in primary schools. You will work closely with individual pupils, providing consistent 1:1 care, learning and emotional support throughout their school day.
Every child is different, so we're looking for someone who can take the time to understand the pupil they're supporting, build a positive relationship and adapt their approach to suit their individual needs.
Your day could involve supporting a child with their learning, helping with communication and interaction, encouraging independence, managing transitions around school, or providing emotional and sensory support.
Depending on the needs of the pupil, personal care may also form part of the role.
We're particularly keen to speak to people who have experience supporting children with:
Autism | ADHD | Complex Needs | Communication Difficulties | SEMH | Sensory Needs
You may already be working as a Teaching Assistant or SEN Support Assistant, but we'd also love to hear from people with relevant experience in care, support work, specialist education or residential settings.
Most importantly, you'll need to be patient, nurturing, resilient and dependable, with a genuine passion for helping children with additional needs thrive.
