Can you look beyond behaviour and build a relationship with the child underneath it?
Veritas Education is recruiting Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants to work with primary-aged pupils across Leeds.
We're looking for confident, compassionate people who understand that behaviour is often a form of communication and who can provide children with the consistency, boundaries and encouragement they need.
The role may involve:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Working 1:1 or with small groups
- Helping children regulate emotions
- De-escalating challenging situations calmly
- Supporting positive behaviour strategies
- Re-engaging pupils with learning
- Building trust and positive relationships
- Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
Your experience could come from:
