Veritas Education is currently seeking a passionate and committed Design Technology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Dewsbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is dedicated to inspiring students and delivering high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Whether you are an experienced practitioner or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we would love to hear from individuals who are passionate about helping young people develop practical skills, creativity, and confidence within Design Technology.
The Role
As a Design Technology Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Inspire students to develop practical, creative and problem-solving skills.
- Assess, monitor and support student progress in line with school policies.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development.
- Uphold high standards of behaviour and achievement.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Design Technology within a UK secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge across one or more DT specialisms.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
