Job Title: School Cleaner Location: Primary Schools in Blackburn & Darwen Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking reliable and hardworking School Cleaners to support a range of primary schools across Blackburn and Darwen. This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout school premises, helping to create a safe, welcoming, and well-presented environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. You will work within established cleaning schedules and procedures, ensuring classrooms, communal areas, toilets, and other facilities are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
Responsibilities Include:
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas
- Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors and surfaces
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste in accordance with school procedures
- Replenishing hygiene and cleaning supplies where required
- Following health and safety guidelines and reporting any maintenance concerns
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience within a school, commercial, or similar environment is desirable
- Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Understanding of health and safety procedures relating to cleaning activities
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
