SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 2) - SEN Provision
Location: Lancaster Hours: 8:30am - 3:15pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Term Time Only Start Date: Immediate Start
Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Lancaster that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist SEN provision immediately.
This rewarding role involves supporting the class teacher within a small class of pupils who require additional educational, social, and emotional support. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping children access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual goals in a nurturing and supportive environment.
The Role
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
- Working with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Providing tailored support to children with a range of special educational needs.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and social development.
- Assisting with the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities.
- Helping to create a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Has experience supporting children with SEN in a school, nursery, or similar setting.
- Is patient, caring, and adaptable in their approach.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Is committed to supporting the educational and personal development of every child.
