Veritas Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to work within successful secondary schools across Wakefield. The Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students in lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
- Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.
- Assist students with additional learning, behavioural, or pastoral needs.
- Encourage student engagement, confidence, and independence.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support the implementation of individual learning plans and intervention programmes.

- Have experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, coaching, mentoring, or support setting.
- Are patient, adaptable, and resilient.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Are able to work effectively as part of a school team.

Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
