Location: East Lancashire (Burnley, Blackburn, Accrington, Nelson, Colne and surrounding areas) Salary: £90 - £120 per day (dependent on experience) Contract Type: Flexible Day-to-Day Supply Start Date: September 2026
Cover Supervisors Required - East Lancashire
Veritas Education is seeking confident, reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work on a day-to-day supply basis across a range of secondary schools throughout East Lancashire from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors, youth workers, sports coaches, or individuals looking to gain valuable experience within secondary education.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absences and ensuring students remain engaged with the work provided.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
- Delivering pre-set lesson materials and instructions.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Supporting students in completing assigned work.
- Ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Working across a variety of subjects and year groups.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, or support role.
- Are confident managing groups of students aged 11-16.
- Possess strong communication and organisational skills.
- Are adaptable, professional and reliable.
- Have a genuine interest in education.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one.
