Job Title: Primary Teacher (Ages 4-16) - Full-TimeLocation: Blackburn, LancashireContract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Primary Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Blackburn, supporting pupils aged 4-16. The role involves delivering a broad, differentiated curriculum across all subjects, tailored to meet a wide range of special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, adapted lessons across core and foundation subjects

  • Teach pupils across primary and secondary age ranges with varying needs and abilities

  • Implement and review EHCP targets and personalised learning plans

  • Create a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

  • Assess, track, and report pupil progress

  • Work collaboratively with TAs, SENCOs, and external professionals

  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development

  • Requirements

  • QTS/QTLS (essential)

  • Proven experience teaching pupils with SEN

  • Strong understanding of needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties

  • Ability to deliver across multiple subjects and adapt teaching effectively

  • Calm, nurturing approach and strong classroom management skills

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
