Learning Support Mentor
Pay: £90-£115 per day - DOEMon-Fri, Daily Hours 8:00am - 4:00pmFull-time / Term Time OnlyChigwell, Essex
We're looking for dedicated Learning Support Mentors to support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone passionate about helping young people thrive while gaining valuable experience for future careers in education, psychology, youth work, or mental health support. Learning Support Mentor Role:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to promote positive behaviour, engagement, and learning
- Providing tailored support to help pupils overcome barriers to education
- Assisting with behaviour plans and emotional regulation strategies
- Supporting teachers in creating a positive, structured learning environment
- Building strong relationships that encourage confidence, resilience, and academic progress
Learning Support Mentor Requirements:
- Genuine interest in supporting children and young people
- Patient, calm, and proactive approach
- Experience working with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour is desirable
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with children or young people in any setting is beneficial
- Ideal for aspiring Youth Workers, Behaviour Mentors, Teachers, Counsellors, or Psychologists
