We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a specialist secondary academy in West London.This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people within a supportive and well-resourced educational setting.

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging, practical lessons that develop students cooking, nutrition, food preparation, and life skills. You will foster a positive learning environment that promotes confidence, independence, and achievement while supporting a range of learning and social, emotional, and mental health needsKey Responsibilities for Food Technology Teacher
- Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop schemes of work that promote creativity, healthy living and practical food skills.
- Monitor student progress, providing feedback and targeted support.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, attendance, and achievement.
- Ensure a safe and well-managed Food Technology learning environment.
- Support curriculum development and enrichment activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external professionals to enhance student outcomes.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Have experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
- Engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or additional learning needs is desirable
