Location: Morecambe, Lancashire Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full Time Working Hours: 8:45am - 3:15pm, Monday to Friday Recruiter: Veritas Education
Veritas Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Morecambe for a dedicated Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive school community that values collaboration and adopts a genuine team approach to Teaching Assistant roles.
The Role
Working within a Year 3 classroom, you will support teaching and learning across a variety of settings. The school operates a flexible team-based model, meaning no two days are the same. You will be expected to work:
- Supporting the whole class alongside the class teacher
- Delivering small group interventions
- Providing targeted one-to-one support where required
- Helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
The successful candidate will be invited to attend the school's INSET Day on 1st September 2026, providing an excellent opportunity to meet the team, receive training, and prepare for the new academic year. This is a long term position, likely to continue throughout the full academic year.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must:
- Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification as a minimum
- Have previous experience working within a primary school setting
- Have experience supporting pupils on a whole-class, small-group and one-to-one basis
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be flexible, proactive and committed to supporting all learners
