About the Role
Veritas Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a number of secondary schools in Keighley and Skipton.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
Whether you're seeking full-time work or looking for flexible part-time opportunities around other commitments, we have a range of placements available to suit your availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
- Deliver pre-set work across a variety of subjects
- Ensure students remain engaged and focused on their learning
- Maintain positive behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons
- Support the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
- Confident leading and managing groups of students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised, adaptable, and professional in approach
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
- Graduates and aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
