A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Newham is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will help pupils access learning, build confidence, and develop both academically and socially within a supportive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Deliver targeted interventions under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
Adapt learning resources to meet individual pupil needs
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Requirements
Essential:
GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
Experience working with children or supporting pupils with SEN
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, caring, and proactive approach
Desirable:
Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Degree in Psychology, Education, or a related subject
