Are you a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child's educational journey?
We are currently recruiting for a qualified 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs at a welcoming and inclusive school in Preston. This rewarding role will involve providing tailored support to help the child achieve their full academic, social, and emotional potential.
The Role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs.
- Support learning activities both in and out of the classroom.
- Adapt resources and learning strategies to meet individual needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback on the pupil's development.
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
- Have previous experience supporting children with SEND.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Be proactive and able to use your initiative.
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, or other additional learning needs would be highly advantageous.
