SEN Teaching Assistant Required in Garstang

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Garstang. This is an excellent opportunity to make a genuine difference in a child's educational journey while working as part of an experienced and caring team.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs
- Assist children with SEND, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Help pupils develop their social, emotional, and communication skills
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
- Is patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Is able to work effectively as part of a team
- Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 desirable but not essential)
