We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Hackney. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally within a supportive and inclusive environment. SEN Teacher Role:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and moderate to severe learning difficulties.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual learning needs and EHCP targets.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, Therapists, and other professionals to support pupil development.
- Assess, record, and monitor pupil progress, providing regular feedback where appropriate.
- Create a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages confidence and independence.
SEN Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Previous experience teaching children or young people with SEN in either a mainstream or specialist setting.
- A strong understanding of differentiated teaching and inclusive learning practices.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
- A patient, resilient, and enthusiastic approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
