Make a Lasting Difference to Children's Learning and Confidence
Veritas Education are delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Colne to recruit a passionate, dedicated and nurturing KS2 Intervention Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. Working across Key Stage 2, you'll have the chance to make a genuine impact by delivering targeted interventions that build confidence, close learning gaps and enable every child to experience success.
The school is committed to ensuring every pupil receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. With a strong focus on inclusion, collaboration and high expectations, you'll be joining a dedicated team that works together to create positive outcomes for every learner.
As part of this rewarding role, you'll spend three days each week delivering targeted intervention sessions with Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, working with small groups to accelerate progress in a focused and supportive environment. You'll also spend one day each week teaching a full Key Stage 2 class, allowing you to maintain your classroom teaching experience while making a lasting impact through specialist intervention support.
Working closely with class teachers, the SENCO and support staff, you'll tailor learning to meet individual needs, celebrate every achievement and help children develop the confidence and resilience they need to succeed.
If you're looking for a role where you can make a meaningful difference every day while being supported by a caring and forward-thinking school, we'd love to hear from you.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
- Be passionate about supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
- Deliver engaging, targeted intervention sessions that accelerate progress and build confidence.
- Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and support staff to ensure every child achieves their potential.
- Be patient, resilient and committed to providing an inclusive learning environment.
In return, the school offers:
- A welcoming, inclusive and supportive school community.
- An experienced and approachable Senior Leadership Team.
- A strong commitment to staff wellbeing and professional development.
- High-quality CPD and SEND-focused training opportunities.
- A collaborative team culture where staff are valued and supported.
- Well-resourced classrooms and intervention spaces.
- The opportunity to make a genuine and lasting impact on children's educational journeys every day.
Applications are warmly welcomed from both Experienced Teachers and confident Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about inclusive education and supporting every child to succeed.
