Location: Sutton, SM6 Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking a caring, motivated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming school in Sutton (SM6) from September. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
- Assist students with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and learning difficulties.
- Support the implementation of EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to deliver effective interventions.
- Encourage independence, positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
- Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based experience desirable but not essential).
- A patient, empathetic and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support would be advantageous.
