Location: Bedale
Are you an experienced Early Years professional ready to take the next step in your career, or an established Nursery Manager looking for a new opportunity?
We are recruiting for a Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager to join a friendly and well-established independent nursery in Bedale. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated leader who is committed to delivering outstanding early years education and care.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare and have proven experience in a management or leadership role within an early years setting. You will be confident in leading and supporting a team, maintaining high standards of care and education, and ensuring compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support the nursery team to deliver exceptional childcare and education.
- Ensure the nursery operates in line with the EYFS framework, safeguarding policies, and statutory requirements.
- Support the day-to-day management and smooth running of the nursery.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and external professionals.
- Monitor children's learning and development, ensuring high-quality practice throughout the setting.
- Mentor and develop staff through coaching, supervision, and performance management.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to nursery improvement plans.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children and colleagues.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare.
- Previous experience in a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Room Leader, or other leadership role within an early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- A proactive, positive, and professional approach.
- A genuine passion for providing outstanding early years education and supporting staff development.
