£93-£110 per day | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities | September Start
Veritas Education are recruiting for a number of SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils within a specialist independent provision in Stockton-on-Tees from September.
This well-established setting supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism, SEMH, communication difficulties and complex learning needs. The school prides itself on providing a nurturing, structured environment where pupils are supported to achieve both academically and personally.
We have both short-term and long-term opportunities available, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff as well as individuals looking to build a career within SEN education.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assisting with learning, communication and emotional regulation
- Promoting engagement, confidence and independence
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff
- Creating a safe, positive and supportive learning environment
We Are Looking For:
- Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
- SEN, care, support work, youth work or education experience desirable
- Patient, resilient and compassionate individuals
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to remain calm and adaptable in a dynamic environment
Compliance Requirements:
- Enhanced Child & Adult Workforce DBS required
- Veritas Education can assist with new DBS is required
