???? About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive and inclusive school in Blackpool. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in raising attainment and supporting pupils across the primary/secondary phase.
As an HLTA, you will work closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences, lead small group interventions, and occasionally cover whole classes in the absence of a teacher.
???? Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging lessons
- Lead whole-class learning in the teacher's absence
- Deliver targeted intervention programmes to support pupil progress
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with diverse needs
- Assist in assessing, recording, and reporting on pupil development
- Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider staff
✅ Requirements
- HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience
- Proven experience working within a school setting
- Strong classroom management skills
- Good understanding of the UK curriculum (KS1-KS4 or relevant stage)
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to support all learners
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
⭐ Desirable
- Experience delivering intervention programmes
- Experience supporting SEND pupils
- First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
