???? About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive and inclusive school in Blackpool. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in raising attainment and supporting pupils across the primary/secondary phase.

As an HLTA, you will work closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences, lead small group interventions, and occasionally cover whole classes in the absence of a teacher.

???? Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging lessons
  • Lead whole-class learning in the teacher's absence
  • Deliver targeted intervention programmes to support pupil progress
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with diverse needs
  • Assist in assessing, recording, and reporting on pupil development
  • Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider staff
  • ✅ Requirements

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience
  • Proven experience working within a school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Good understanding of the UK curriculum (KS1-KS4 or relevant stage)
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to support all learners
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • ⭐ Desirable

  • Experience delivering intervention programmes
  • Experience supporting SEND pupils
  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
