Pay: £90-£120 per day Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30 - 16:30 Contract: Full-time / Term Time only Location: Hackney, East London
We're looking for a dedicated Behavioural Support Assistant to support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone passionate about helping young people thrive while gaining valuable experience for future careers in education, psychology, or youth support.
Behavioural Support Assistant Role:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to promote positive behaviour
- Helping implement behaviour plans and emotional regulation strategies
- Assisting teachers in maintaining a calm, structured learning environment
- Building positive relationships to encourage engagement and resilience
Behavioural Support Assistant Requirements:
- Genuine interest in supporting young people
- Patient, calm, and proactive approach
- Experience or training in behaviour management or manual handling (preferred)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with children or young people (desirable)
- Ideal for aspiring Youth Workers, Behaviour Mentors, Teachers, or Psychologists
