We are a warm, inclusive, and forward-thinking primary school in North Leeds seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Support Assistant to join our dedicated team.

About the Role
As an SEN Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils with special educational needs to access learning, build confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.
Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
- Support the development of communication, social, and emotional skills
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Monitor and report on pupil progress
- Promote independence and resilience in all learners
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN
- Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Is motivated and keen to develop a career in education
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Brings a positive and flexible approach to supporting pupils
- Is eager to learn and engage with ongoing training
Experience with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language needs) is desirable but not essential-your attitude and commitment are what matter most.
