Deputy Room Leader - Exciting Opportunity in a Unique Nursery Setting

Veritas Education is delighted to be recruiting for a Deputy Room Leader on behalf of a truly wonderful and unique nursery setting in Leeds.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner who is ready to take the next step in their career or continue developing their leadership skills within a supportive and inspiring environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Room Leader with the day-to-day running of the room, helping to maintain high standards of care and education while creating a positive atmosphere for children, families, and colleagues alike.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Room Leader with the day-to-day running of the room
- Delivering outstanding care and education in line with the EYFS framework
- Leading activities that inspire children's curiosity, confidence, and development
- Building strong and professional relationships with families
- Supporting observations, assessments, and learning journeys
- Acting as a role model and providing guidance and support to colleagues
- Helping to create a positive, motivated, and collaborative team culture
- Ensuring safeguarding and welfare standards are maintained at all times
Requirements:
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
- Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
- Experience supporting the management and running of a nursery room
- Experience building strong relationships with parents and families
- Ability to support, motivate, and work closely with other practitioners
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- A passionate and proactive approach to early years education
