About the Role
We are seeking a resilient and committed GCSE Maths Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in SE9.
This role involves teaching Key Stage 4 students (Years 10 & 11) with high behavioural needs, supporting them to achieve GCSE Maths outcomes in a structured, supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated GCSE Maths lessons
- Plan and assess in line with curriculum expectations
- Support students with SEMH and behavioural challenges
- Build strong relationships to promote engagement and progress
- Contribute to a positive and consistent behaviour culture
The Ideal Candidate
- ✅ Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- ✅ Has experience teaching GCSE Maths
- ✅ Has prior experience working in an SEMH or alternative provision
- ✅ Is calm, resilient and confident managing challenging behaviour
- ✅ Committed to supporting vulnerable learners to succeed
