Veritas Education is currently working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Batley to recruit a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for music and creative expression.
The successful candidate will be joining a supportive department with a strong commitment to academic excellence and enrichment through the arts.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive Music lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach students across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential)
- Encourage participation in extracurricular music activities, including clubs, ensembles, and performances
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress effectively
- Contribute to the wider school community and support school events and productions
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Music within a UK secondary school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education
- Excellent classroom management skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
