Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools (Bury)
Day-to-Day & Short-Term Cover | Veritas Education
Veritas Education are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Bury. We are seeking confident, reliable individuals who are available for day-to-day and short-term cover roles, supporting schools with staff absences.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
- Ensure students remain on task with assigned work
- Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons
This is an excellent opportunity for:
- Graduates considering a career in teaching
- Experienced Cover Supervisors or Teaching Assistants
- Individuals with strong behaviour management and communication skills
Requirements
- Experience working with young people (education, coaching, youth work etc.)
- Strong classroom presence and confidence leading groups
- Good behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Flexible and adaptable approach
