The Role:As a Science Technician, you will provide essential support to the Science Department, ensuring that lessons and practical activities run smoothly and effectively. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for science to play a key part in delivering high-quality education to students.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare and set up science experiments, demonstrations, and equipment for lessons
Organize and maintain the science laboratories, ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed
Assist teaching staff with the creation and storage of resources and teaching materials
Provide technical support and advice to both students and teachers during practical lessons
Maintain stock levels of chemicals, equipment, and resources, and reorder supplies as necessary
Ensure the safe storage and disposal of materials in compliance with health and safety guidelines
We're looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual who:
Holds a Science Degree or other relevant qualification
- Lab based experience, ideally in a school
Has strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Can work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with staff and students
Demonstrates a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety
Previous experience as a Science Technician is desirable, but not essential
