Specialist All-Through School | September Start or Sooner | Long-Term Temporary
We are recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly supportive specialist all-through school in Darlington. This setting caters for pupils aged 3-19 with a range of additional needs, including complex learning difficulties, autism, and communication needs. The school is well-resourced, has a strong leadership team, and a clear focus on personalised learning and pupil wellbeing.
The role:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support
- Encouraging independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
- Assisting with personal care where required
The ideal candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Available for a long-term role starting September (or sooner)

You will require an enhanced DBS but we can support with this if required.
