Location: Lambeth Start Date: September Pay: £110-£125 per day Contract: Full-time, term time only | 1-year contract (potential temp to perm)
About the Role
A specialist secondary setting is seeking an experienced and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. You will be supporting students aged 11-19 with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work within a structured, supportive environment where staff play a key role in promoting both academic progress and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Support students with learning, communication and emotional regulation
- Work alongside teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning
- Promote positive behaviour in line with the school's approach
- Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Support students in developing independence and essential life skills

Requirements
- Essential: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Strong understanding of needs such as ASD, SLCN and learning difficulties
- Patient, calm and resilient approach
- Ability to build strong, professional relationships with students
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
