Veritas Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Nelson, Lancashire.
This is a part-time temporary position working three days per week (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday), starting ASAP and continuing until Summer 2026. The school is a well-established and inclusive setting with a strong reputation for supporting pupils' academic and personal development.
The school provides a nurturing environment with a supportive leadership team and a strong focus on early Key Stage 1 learning. Pupils are encouraged to develop confidence and independence as they progress through Year 1.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience teaching within EYFS or Key Stage 1
- Deliver engaging and creative lessons
- Support early reading, writing and phonics development
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
- Have high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
