Veritas Education is currently recruiting SEND Teachers for daily supply opportunities across specialist and mainstream schools in the Sutton area. This role is ideal for flexible teachers who are passionate about supporting students with special educational needs.
Daily supply offers excellent flexibility while allowing you to gain experience across a range of SEND settings.
The Role
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons or adapt learning where required
- Support pupils with a range of SEND needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD and learning difficulties
- Create a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour using appropriate SEND strategies
- Work effectively with support staff and school teams
Skills & Experience Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
- Experience teaching students with SEND (mainstream or specialist settings)
- Strong classroom management and adaptability
- Calm, patient and resilient approach
- Ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
