KS3 Class Teacher - SEMH School, Dorking

Salary: M1-M6 Teacher Pay Scale Location: Dorking, Surrey Hours: Full-time, 52 weeks per year

KS3 Teacher for a specialist school for boys aged 9-16 with social, emotional and mental health needs, including moderate learning and attachment difficulties. We are seeking a passionate and creative KS3 Class Teacher to lead a small Nurture and Development class, delivering personalised learning that supports both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Creating a safe, nurturing classroom environment
  • Supporting behaviour, social development and emotional resilience
  • Working closely with parents, carers and colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for students
  • You will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND, including autism and challenging behaviour
  • Strong behaviour management and safeguarding knowledge
  • A commitment to inclusive, child-centred teaching
