We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school based in Battersea, South West London, for an immediate start.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a 1:1 support role, who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with additional needs.
The Role:
- Supporting students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Building positive relationships to encourage engagement and learning
- Managing challenging behaviour using de-escalation strategies
- Working closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team
- Promoting a safe and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or in a 1:1 support role
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Calm, patient and adaptable approach
- Passion for supporting vulnerable young people
- Enhanced Child DBS
- Adult DBS required
- Available to start ASAP
