All‑Through SEN Provision
Start Date: ASAP | Full‑Time | Long‑Term Temporary
Pay: £95-£110 p/day
Veritas Education is working in partnership with an all‑through autism specialist school in Middlesbrough, to recruit a Sensory & Interaction Support Assistant for a full‑time, long‑term temporary role starting ASAP.
This role supports pupils from Early Years through to Secondary and Post‑16, working with children and young people who are at the earliest stages of communication development.
The Role
- Supporting pupils who are pre‑verbal or early communicators
- Delivering sensory‑led learning, intensive interaction and total communication approaches
- Supporting emotional regulation and engagement across the school day
- Working within small classes with high staff‑to‑pupil ratios
- Supporting learning, care routines and transitions where required
Ideal Candidate
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism and complex communication needs
- Confident using sensory integration and interaction‑based approaches
- Calm, empathetic and patient, with a nurturing mindset
- Background in SEND schools, care, EYFS or therapeutic settings beneficial
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
