About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and caring Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children and supporting their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support learning in the classroom across the primary curriculum
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small intervention groups
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
- Supervise pupils during break times and school activities when required
Requirements
- Teaching Assistant qualifications are preferred (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 TA)
- Experience working with primary‑aged children is desirable
- A patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
