Veritas Education is currently working in partnership with a local school in Huddersfield to recruit a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner. This is a part-time role with consistent afternoon hours, ideal for candidates seeking stable term-time work.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic school environment. Duties will include:
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, and communal areas
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly
- Cleaning toilet and washroom facilities
- Mopping, vacuuming, and dusting as required
- Ensuring cleaning duties are carried out to required health and safety standards
- Working independently and efficiently within the allocated time
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 3:00pm - 6:00pm
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous cleaning experience (school or commercial setting desirable but not essential)
- A good standard of cleanliness and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and follow instructions
- A reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- An enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
