About the Role
We are recruiting a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in Liverpool. You will be supporting pupils across EYFS, primary, and secondary with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties.
This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver personalised learning and make a real impact in a supportive, well-resourced SEN setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
- Support pupils in line with their EHCP targets
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor and track pupil progress and development
- Work closely with TAs, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Contribute to EHCP reviews and parent meetings
Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - essential
- Experience working with SEN pupils (school or specialist setting)
- Strong understanding of needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH
- Ability to deliver highly differentiated lessons
- Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
