Veritas Education are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher for an immediate start at a welcoming secondary school in Burnley. This is a full-time role teaching Key Stage 3 English, running until the end of the summer term.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to KS3 pupils
- Plan, prepare and assess in line with the national curriculum
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting high standards of learning
- Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school team
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
- Have experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 (ECTs welcome to apply)
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Be adaptable, reliable, and passionate about English
- Be available to start immediately
