Veritas Education is recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join one of our valued secondary schools in Huddersfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner with a passion for Biology, Chemistry, or Physics to make a real impact on student progress and engagement.
About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring all students are supported, challenged, and motivated. You will work collaboratively with a well-established science department and contribute to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Science curriculum
- Assessing, tracking, and monitoring pupil progress in line with school procedures
- Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Ensuring behaviour is managed effectively in accordance with school policies
- Contributing to departmental planning, development, and extracurricular opportunities
- Upholding safeguarding and compliance responsibilities in line with DfE guidance
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
- A professional and proactive approach to teaching
- A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
